Project Overview
Summitwise runs fully curated leadership retreats and executive offsites across the Colorado Rockies — turnkey experiences led by seasoned business leaders and wilderness guides, where guided hikes and fireside sessions spark the kind of breakthrough thinking a conference room never will. Born partnered with Summitwise to give that experience a digital home worthy of it: a website that sells altitude, clarity, and connection to the founders and executives who need all three.
Objectives
- Make the Mountain the Message
Lead with the landscape and the people in it — full-bleed video and photography that put visitors on the trail before they read a word. - Speak to Leaders, Not Tourists
Position retreats as serious leadership development — executive offsites, founder cohorts, and faith-based retreats — not adventure tourism. - Let Alumni Do the Selling
Surface trail testimonies and “Moments from the Mountain” stories as the primary proof, with a clear path to Join a Retreat.
Scope of Work
Born delivered a complete digital presence spanning:
Website Design & Development
- Designed and built the site on a modern visual CMS — cinematic hero, animated retreat-type cards (Leadership Retreats, Executive Offsites, Faith-Based Retreats), and a layered editorial flow
- Story architecture: About, Retreats, and a testimony-driven “Moments from the Mountain” section, with Join a Retreat as the persistent call to action
- Fully responsive build with scroll-driven typography treatments that keep “Adventure Redefined” moving through the page
Brand & Visual Direction
- Refined the Summitwise mark and type system for digital — the peak monogram, condensed display headlines, and a mountain-light palette
- Directed the video and photography selection so every frame reinforces the retreat experience
Content & Positioning
- Wrote and structured the site copy around Summitwise’s values — Excellence, Humility, Leadership, Presence — and its mission to awaken clarity, courage, and connection in leaders
- Built the Waypoints newsletter capture and testimony framework to keep the alumni story growing
